The Dove represents the Holy Spirit. The Head faces upward to heaven to each of us so that the Holy Spirit strengthens us with the seven gifts to lead us to heaven.

 

Alpha and Omega Symbol for Jesus (Rev. 1:8) The Dove is the Holy Spirit descending upon Jesus at His Baptisms.
Lilies are the symbol of Innocence

Three orders of ministry of word and sacrament. A book, a chalice with starburst, three crosses.

The book is the bible, the chalice and host(starburst) are the seven sacraments, the three crosses represent the three orders of ministry: Bishop, priest, deacon.


 

Eucharist as sacred meal. A basket with bread and fish, chalice and host. The basket reminds us of Jesus feeding the 5000 with few loaves and fish. The host and chalice remind us of the body and blood of Jesus. At Mass Jesus feeds us spiritually with His Body and Blood.


 

The Joseph Window: hammer, saw, square, lilies "Ite ad Joseph" S.J. entwined "SJ" represents St. Joseph, the tools of his trade as carpenter, the lilies - his innocence. The text translated is "Go to Joseph"

Baptistry Window

 The Church as described in Rev. 12:1-3 A woman clothed with the sun (golden gown) standing on the moon, crowned with twelve stars. She appears distressed because she is in labour. The church gives birth to her children in the womb of the baptismal font. She is our mother.

 

 

Choir Rose Window

A lamb, head surrounded by a halo inside which is a cross, prone on a book with (7) seals. The Lamb of Jesus, prone because wounded. The halo and cross indicate He is Divine. The book is the scroll of Rev. 5:1ff Jesus' word of life given to those who believe in Him.
